kiwirazzi: (misc: Ocean right now!)
I made use of the GORGEOUS weather yesterday and went for a little walk. I needed to clean my head from the world and the current state it's in. It has gotten ...too much. Definitely. So I made my merry way over to Gatow, another part of Spandau, and waltzed around in nature for a bit. It was WORTH IT, definitely. The only smaller disadvantage is that the paths there aren't always easy to walk on, since they come in various types: cobblestone, tarmac, sandy, forrest and almost everything in between. Which my knees weren't too happy about, but whatevs.

Next time someone tells you or me or anyone that Berlin's just a huge ass grey moloch, I beg to fucking differ!

PIIIIIIIIIIICS! )

I barely met other people there, and if I did, it was mostly someone with a horse or a dog. But other than that? I had my peace and quiet which was desperately NEEDED, fam.

Since I know y'all are wondering where the heck Yours Truly was:

The area is called Rieselfelder Karolinenhöhe, it's a protected area of meadows & waterways with grazing farm animals, popular for hiking & biking. It's not too far away from my flat, and if you're lucky, you'll also get to see wild animals, especially birds (of prey). It's a HUGE area, and I at times felt a bit like back there in Wilderness. If you need a little time out, to detox, clear your head, fresh air (albeit coming with the typical farm smells, iykwim), this is where you need to go. Hopefully, I'll be able to go there again for more walks. Loved it there.
